Rings are adorned by both ladies and gentlemen. They could be for anything, including wedding, engagements or personal beauty. Whatever reason of wearing your ring, there is the need to choose the correct width. This is especially because it is a factor that can greatly affect the comfort levels you enjoy with the ring. The width can also determine how beautiful the ring ends up looking on your fingers and of course everyone wants to enjoy a beautiful ring on the fingers.

For the gents

Usually men always settle for bigger widths when it comes to the rings. This is because naturally men are created with larger hands and fingers for that matter. The larger width rings therefore look amazing on the large fingers since they add a striking highlight. However the width should also be selected to match with the length and size of the fingers. The short and fat fingers are better off with smaller widths whereas the longer slender fingers will look most striking with the larger widths. Smaller hands and slender fingers should be suited well by 5mm rings.

When it comes to wedding rings for the gents, their options tend to be wider than of ladies. The range can be anything from 5mm to 7 mm. The 6mm and 7mm widths seem to be a more popular choice for the men as far as the wedding rings are concerned.

For the ladies

Unlike men, ladies tend to have softer highlights and features. This makes the smaller width rings ideal for them in most cases. Most women will have delicate looking slender fingers and wearing larger widths can leave them looking suffocated. Their fingers do not require too many highlights to make them stand out, hence the narrower widths work amazing. Also important to note is that in the case of a wedding ring, women will be wearing an engagement ring. This is one more reason why it is important to stick to the narrower widths to ensure that there is enough room for both the rings worn on the same fingers.

When it comes to accessories women have a whole bunch of them and they include bracelets and watches. To strike a balance, narrower bandwidths are best, especially since most will wear all the accessories every single day. There can be a great miss when the ring seems to be outdoing the rest of the items and therefore the right width should be considered. The width can be selected in relation to the size and length of the fingers with the 3-5mm options being some of the best for women.

In as much as choosing the right width is important when buying a ring, the general comfort should also be considered. This is taking into consideration that some people will feel more comfortable in wider rings while others will be more comfortable with narrower ones. As long as the width and the fit is okay for you, you will hardly notice you are wearing a ring because the comfort levels are heightened.

Wedding rings are categorized into women and men options. The women rings tend to have more details compared to those designed for men. The men rings will however usually tend to be larger in terms of width compared to those of women.
